What is Payco's web-based payroll?
Our remote software, Evolution, is a true web-based payroll software allowing unfettered access to your employee, payroll, and HR related data. Evolution is the most robust full-featured payroll software on the market offering scalability, flexibility, customization, security, and ease of use. This allows you to remain in control, while we handle all of the processing and compliance issues.
   
What information can I access through Evolution?
Everything! You have complete access to your employees' pay history, payroll, reports, HR data, and more. Think of it this way…all those times you have called your current payroll provider to request information…it is available at your fingertips. Check out our services for more information.
   
How do I enter my payroll?
Hours and wages can be entered in a variety of ways, depending on the complexity of your payroll. For simplicity, you can use our Quick Entry grid, or import your hours from one of several Time Keeping systems. Or, for more complex entries, you can enter information through our detailed view allowing you to enter an unlimited number of departments and rates, or override scheduled deductions or taxes. What makes Evolution different from the other systems in the industry?
Most other national providers offer browser-based applications, which have severe limitations. They become limited as to what actions they can perform due to programming restrictions within a browser environment. In addition, there are inherent security concerns when entering your information through a browser. Evolution uses thin-client technology to eliminate these concerns.
   
What are the advantages to Evolution's thin-client technology?
With Evolution's thin-client architecture, there is a small application installed on your PC, but all of the data resides on our servers. When you log into Evolution, you are securely accessing your data in real-time as if you were sitting at a PC in our office. Since Evolution is running a small application there are no programming limitations, which allows us to provide you with the tools you need to manage your employees and payroll.
   
What training is available for Evolution?
Training is provided to you at no cost, and is done with your data. We don't make you go to a class and learn how to use our software with someone else's sample data. Generally, we like to train you when you enter your payroll so you get to know Evolution as you would normally use it. Ongoing training is provided anytime you request it, and is offered at no cost to you.
   
Do I need to call a different department anytime I have questions?
No. Your individual Account Specialist uses the same version of Evolution as you, and since your data resides on our servers, they can access the information you are viewing at the exact same time. This allows your Account Specialist to assist you in ways that that would be unheard of with any other system.
   
What reports are available in Evolution?
We have over 80 stock reports built into Evolution. Chances are, there is a report to satisfy your needs, no matter what you are looking for. There are also Ad-Hoc reports so you can create your own reports by simply selecting the fields you desire. If you need further customization, we will create reports for you on demand.
   
How much does Evolution cost?
As a courtesy, we provide Evolution at no cost to our clients. There are no setup fees, training fees, or ongoing support fees.
   
What is Evolution's Integrated HR Module?
Evolution's Integrated HR Module is completely built-in and uses a single database for increased efficiency. Our HR Module provides the tools necessary to track necessary employee information such as attendance, injury occurrences, COBRA, and more. How are updates applied to Evolution?
Any time we apply a new update, Evolution automatically updates itself when you log in. This relieves the stress on your IT staff from having to constantly re-install new software any time there is an update.
   
How secure is my data?
Evolution uses 256 bit encryption ensuring security of your data. Each user is assigned a unique login ID and all changes made to your employee information is tracked through a complete audit trail. We have redundant backups in place, and also keep a hot-site in a remote location in case of a regional disaster.
